Fertilizer Canada represents the interests of producers, wholesale and retail distributors of nitrogen, phosphate, potash and sulphur fertilizers. Our team of industry professionals advance the safe, secure, and sustainable production and use of fertilizer, through proactive science-based programs, innovation, and advocacy.
Application Process
Becoming a member of Fertilizer Canada is a straightforward and supportive process, should you meet the requirements. Our team works closely with you at every step to ensure the right fit and a smooth onboarding experience.
Membership Requirements
Fertilizer Canada’s Board of Directors has established clear requirements that every member must abide by as a condition of their membership. The initial requirements are in compliance with:
- The Ammonia Code of Practice (User Guide)
- The Agricultural Ammonium Nitrate and Calcium Ammonium Nitrate Code of Practice (User Guide)
- The Competition Guidelines
- The Code of Conduct
Over time, additional conditions of membership will be established as other codes of practice and policies are approved. The establishment of such membership requirements is consistent with Fertilizer Canada’s commitment to product stewardship and corporate social responsibility.

Active Members
Division 1
Manufacturing, Mining and Importing
Manufacturing or production of fertilizers other than specialty products, potash mining or importing fertilizer products other than specialty products in Canada.
Division 2
Wholesale and
Distributors
Wholesalers, brokers or distributors of fertilizers in Canada.
Division 3
Retail
Retail distributors or agri-retailers of fertilizers in Canada.
Division 4
Specialty Products
Supplying, manufacturing, importing or producing raw materials, specialty fertilizers, supplements or other fertilizer related products (not captured in Division 1) in Canada.
Associate Members
Suppliers of goods and services to the fertilizer industry in Canada and not otherwise qualified for membership.
